Writing to us

What to include in your message

A few details in your first message help us respond faster and more usefully — there is no need for a long email, just the right specifics.

Guide questions

If you are asking about a particular guide, mention the berry or vegetable by name so we can find the right article and give you a direct answer.

Topic suggestions

If you want us to cover a produce item we have not written about yet, tell us what it is and where you have seen it for sale in South Africa. Local availability helps us prioritise.

Supplier enquiries

If you grow or sell produce, include your province, what you stock, and whether you offer delivery, collection, or market sales. That tells us whether the directory is a good fit.

Supplier Partnerships

We list South African produce suppliers at no cost

We are always looking to expand our supplier directory. If you grow or sell berries, leafy greens, orange vegetables, or other produce relevant to eye wellness, we want to know about you.

We list suppliers at no cost and do not charge for inclusion in the directory. We do require that you operate in South Africa and that the produce you stock is available to the public — through delivery, collection, or market sales.

Topic Suggestions

Suggest a berry or vegetable for us to write about

We welcome suggestions for new guides. If there is a berry or vegetable you would like us to write about, tell us why it interests you and whether it is available in South Africa. We prioritise produce that is locally grown or sold, and we are particularly interested in less common varieties that our readers might not know about. We cannot promise to write about every suggestion, but we read all of them.

Response & Scope

What to expect when you write to us

How long does it take to hear back?

We aim to respond to all messages within three working days. During busy periods, it may take slightly longer. If you have not heard back after a week, it is acceptable to follow up by email or phone.

What kinds of messages do you not respond to?

We do not respond to spam, promotional messages unrelated to produce, or requests for personal dietary advice. If your message falls outside what we cover, we will let you know and suggest where you might find more appropriate help.

What can you not help with?

We are an informational blog about berries, vegetables, and their produce characteristics — not a dietary or nutritional advisory service. We cannot answer questions about individual eating plans or recommend specific regimens for particular concerns. For that kind of guidance, a registered dietitian or qualified nutrition professional is the right starting point.

Can I call the office instead of writing?

Yes. You can reach us at +27 11 788 3341 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday. If you call outside those hours, leave a message and we will return your call. Written messages often help us give a more complete answer, especially for supplier enquiries where details matter.
